Allamakee County Veterans' Affairs Office is a service office, who works with honorably discharged veterans, their spouses, and eligible dependants. We take care of the indigent with necessities of life. Also furnish medical help by using a number of VA Hospitals and have a van service to transport veterans to The Iowa city VA medical center from five different counties.

We help fill out a large array of forms for pension, compensations, grave markers, Health benefits, and furnish military Honor Guard for military funerals.

We also Request Military records.

The Commission of Veterans Affairs and office was established per Chapter 35B of the Code of Iowa.

Flags, Flag poles & other accessories may be purchased at our office. You may also bring old flags to the veterans affairs office for disposal.
