• Prosecutes all State crimes and County infractions committed in the County.

• Defends the County in all actions brought against it.

• Handles all Juvenile Delinquency and Child In Need Of Assistance cases in the County.

• Legal advisor to Board of Supervisors and all other County offices.

• Draws indictments for Grand Jury.

• No one is eligible for this office who has not been admitted to the bar or whose license is suspended or revoked
